Friends were cordially invited to AT & RV's wedding in JB on New Year's Day and we decided to arrive one day early to spend New Year's Eve out of town and away from the usual crowd for once. Afterall, there was a 5-star complimentary accommodation too good to be missed :D

I'm not much of a crowd person so the waterfront seafood dining and after-dinner drinks at Senibong was the best New Year's Eve I've had to date!

We could see Singapore across the water and fireworks on both sides seemed to go on forever. People were cheering and ships honked in celebration at midnight sharp, ushering in 2006.



Too bad this was before I had my digital camera and lugging my SLR was too much of a hassle.

But I had to take this shot, borrowing IH's digital camera, because I really liked the mood the coloured bulbs above us were creating, casting a glow where we sat, just next to the waters with the breeze coming in and lights dotted in the distance from Singapore.
